Feel the Pulse of the City in an Island of Calm

The Deermar brings a new, exciting landmark to Park Slope. Eleven stories blend seamlessly in a symphony of glass and brick, forming a distinctive Y-shaped building on the corner of 4th Avenue and 9th Street. Comprised of 72 light-filled apartments, the building features high ceilings, oversized windows and outdoor space — balconies or terraces — in nearly every home. The Deermar expresses the vision that architecture is the process of contributing livable and workable art to the environment.

“The Deermar was conceived as a manifestation of the intersection of Brooklyn’s historic Park Slope neighborhood and it’s progressive future. The base of the design is rooted in the historical context of tree lined streets defined by brick facades and repetitive windows filtering out into the community, while the body rises and steps up to form a beacon that defines the future of Brooklyn and its limitless perspectives.”
